Check engine....error code 441
 

A couple of weeks ago..my CE light went on......went to PEPBOYS and got a diagnostic, they told the computer registered an error code 441, and that my canister might need to be changed if it comes back on .

well a week later ....here comes the light again!!!

Code 441...means : Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow...

Can someone please please make some sense out of this.......what do i need to do...which part to replace......I am confused ....I understand the whole EEC thing...but......again...what do i do to get the light offfffff

What kind of car is it?

P0 441 = evap purge system problem

What model & year of car, different models use different methods of diagnosis.

Good question Jim, of course the tire store wouldn't need such info to give such good advice.

The one thing that it won't be is the charcoal cannister.

I guess I left out a major detail!

My car is a 1996 C220 with 62,000, otherwise very healthy and always serviced on time or sooner than on time.


Please help!!


CODE 441.....................I know what is it......but what do I do to fix...and get it to go off..
