Hi! I would like to know whether it's possible to convert my normal headlamps to original Xenons. And at the same time, add headlamp washers. If it is possible, how much do you think it's cost? Super Whites just burn out too quickly.
Regards,
Chung

Chung,

Got a W210 already?? Wow, that's sooner than you expected, eh?? Anyways, convert normal(halogen)headlights to factory Xenon is usually simply plug-n-play as the car is already designed to have it. However, add the washers, you will have to get new front panels(under the headlights), and the washer mechanism. Theoratically, it's possible, but cost-wise, it will depend.

Choo,

If you decide to put in the Xenon's without the washers, you may want to find out what the reason was that made Benz require the washers for Xenon lights. It may merely have been a way to sell you more features. But, anyway, in the US Xenon lights were not available without washers.

Good luck,

North America MBs(or any other brand, for that matters)equipped with Xenon will ALSO have Washer as the law required. But, MB has thus combined Xenon and Washer together. Less hassle to deal with car orders maybe??

Hi! Well, I haven't exactly gotten it, just a few more weeks... it's an Azure Blue E240, like my E220, it's a Japanese marketed car. As far as I know, Xenons are available without headlamp washers in Japan, correct me if I'm wrong. Mine was ordered without Xenons because I forgot about them. And one thing I'll be doing is retrofitting it with PTS too, I know it's a complicated procedure, from wut I've heard. But I can't live without it... hahaha!

Chung

Chung,

Xenon is as easy as 1-2-3. But PTS is really pain in the rear. You will need to run wires, install display...etc. It might not worth the cost of add them after, aside from painful install procedure.

I just got my Zenon lamps and obviously don't have headlamp washers. IT IS possible to put on headlamp washers and I got a rought estimate for the parts and labor and it's around the $2000(USD) ballpark in Korea.
I don't know about the prices in Malaysia, but I figure it's about the same in all asian countries. Also, Chung, Do you live near Ipo?

Yo Chuck,
I live on the other side of the South China Sea in Kuching on the island of Borneo. PTS... yea... hard to install it. Sigh... maybe I just gotta live without it. Selling the S280, it feels too weak and doesn't sound as if it can cope with much load.
Hehehhehe

Hi Guys,

I have got a W210 E200 and like the idea of the Xenon bulbs. Tell me how to get them and the way about it.
I live in Kuala Lumpur
Thanks
