E320 124.032- 104.992 eng.
Which plug can I use without going to a plat. plug.
The manual calls for F9DC0
Bosch says to replace that# with F8DC-4,
but that is a plat. plug.
Thanks,
Arthur

When the car calls for the copper...use the copper. Search the posts here (and archives) for platinum plugs. You will see a plethora of responses supporting this.

I had to get my Cu plugs from NAPA, since all the other auto places (Auto-Zone, PepBoys, etc) only carried the platinum replacements.

Not sure about the rest of the U.S., but in California AutoZone is having a sale on Bosch copper core plugs. Picked mine up for the unbelievable price of .59 each. But a limit of 16, so no big stock piling allowed.

Changing the plats back to copper smoothed the idle considerably.

The F8dc4 is what we use, it is not plat. It is the replacement for the f9dco.

That is my understanding also, but every
part store I have gone to list these as platinum. Are the f8dc4's Bosch "Super" series ?
Thanks
