JUST FOR YOUR INFO- How to save a web page for future reference
Some may know this, some may not.
Many times I want to save a post or a page that I find on the internet for future reference. You can save the entire page just as you are viewing this page by doing the following. Click on the "File" at the top of the menu. I use IE 6.0 Click on "save as" Under file name, call it what you want. Then under "save as type" change the file to a "Web archive, single file (*.mht) Hit save and the entire page as you look at it on the internet will be saved for future reference. I have save quite a few posts as well as articles that I have found or been directed to here on the forum. I have various folders for different areas in my documents (win98). Mercedes technical, Mercedes sales, Mustang technical etc. Just FYI Dave

Saving multiple pages in long thread
As a further option you can go to the bottom of the page and select ‘show printable version’…………then go to the top of the printable version and select ‘Show all X posts from this thread on one page’………then File / Save as / Save as type…… as described by Dave……… this is good for long threads with multiple pages

David Speed is correct, If its just a word post then the printable version will download faster, for the dialup community. By dong it my way you get all pictures. I usually do this if there are specific pictures for that particular post.
Taking the evaporator out of the 300TD I took 100 pictures of the disassemble process. Quite usefull during the reassembly. Dave

I have a 560sel - I went back to the start of this forum and saved all pages pertaining to my car. Then I sorted them into folders by symptom and saved them on a CD. I scan this website everyday for anything new pertaining to my car and add pages as they come up. -Great servicing tool and easily accessed with Explorer!! Saves time searching when I do have a problem.
