I disconnected the fuel filter lines...and took the old filter out on my 1996 C220...

the filter was extremly dirty so I could not see the markings or the arrow on it....

I am about to put the new one in.....which direction should it be....


Should the arrow be going to the fuel pump or the other way aound..

Please I need an answer...ASAP

The arrow goes in the direction of the fuel, towards the engine.
