91 190e 2.3 starting problem

After a recent dead battery, jump situation my cars condition has fallen greatly. I attempted a jump, and failed? and cables were fried. I replaced battery.

since this i have had all cap/rotor/plugs/spark/fuel filter/air filter replaced and a tune up

And i am still having starting problems. When i start it has to crank for 8 or so seconds, i hear each cylinder attempting to fire ? When it starts it idles at about 500 and if i get on the throttle it will stall. Major hesitation problemssssss

i beleive it to be an idle valve or a fuel sensor, 02 possibly?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated and an idea of cost would also help and any and all of the above could be completely wrong so give a newb some help ;]
