NEWBIE needs info on a 190.

Hey guys just signed up and I am looking for some info on a 190. I found one for a decent price and I can't take a look at it personally. I don't know much about the 190's but I do no its hard to get your hand on a 16V

RE: 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.3L 8V

I'm hoping some of you guys can help me out. I just have a few questions regarding 190's.

-Are there any specific things I should look for if I were to go check out a 190, which was up for sale?
-Are there any specific problems with an 85 190 2.3L?
-What else should I be looking for?
-Any good websites to look at?

Any help, comments and concerns would be appreciated.

Thank you.

The best thing to do is use the search function and type in terms like 1985 190e 16v You'll spent a lot of time browsing but will also be much better armed...

go for the 16v it's ALOT better ...

becarful of the auto trannys and the cylinder heads on the 8v
big buck fix's, and after 88 is a more updated body and engine.

Thanks dave, I'll look out for those problems.

16V doesn't fit into my budget plus I need a car just until summer.
