Battery dead need help please.
My battery died from sitting too long and I now have a problem starting the car. I cannot find the key for the trunk and with the battery being dead the drunk won't open. Can anyone help me out here? What are my options? Thanks in advance.

Cigar Lighter
One option you could consider is the little devices they sell at the parts store that allows you to charge a battery for jump starting through the cigar lighter, this would at least give you enough juice to pop the trunk and properly jump start the car. Be sure to have the key in position 2 because the circuit to the cigar lighter is open unless the switch is in position 2. Hope this helps, good luck!

Any battery charger would work through the cigar lighter.. Careful to keep the amperage low.. Less than 15 amps..

The key for the ignition is the same as the key for the trunk. Turn the key in the trunk lock cylinder and push in.

My key does not fit the trunk as I have changed my ingition. but thanks for trying. I will head to the local Pep Boys or Auto Zone tomorrow and hopefully this charger will get the job done. Thanks for all your help.

Ok, I do not have firsthand with one of these, but every other car I have seen with a 'rear mount' battery has had some sort of positive 'post' or somesuch under the hood for jumpstarts and such.
If not, there MUST be someplace under the hood to tie in. How about the terminal block that the alternator cable attaches to?
