suspension bushings

As I posted previously, I have just purchased a 95S420 with huge milage (330k-km or 210k-miles). To get it safetied, I need to replace the camber strut. Prices for this where quoted on the dealership as $240 CAN, but managed to get jobber price of $199. Still very expensive for an aluminium dog bone, 12" long.

I would like to replace alot of the suspension over the near future. But the prices are making me light headed. It would seem prudent to source and install the bushing/rubber components only if available but I'm being told by the dealership that they don't sell the bushings seperately. Who can source these for me? Note, I have already purchased the camber strut, but if I can source the balance of the pieces, it would make my heart feel alot lighter.

The bushings cannot be replaced separately from the suspension components on many of the links, only the front control arms. The rest of them are vulcanized in place, and the rubber flexes with suspension movment. You must replace any part with such bushings.

See FastLane for prices, they are much better, even with the duties, than going to the dealer.

costs

I just had Phil drop ship me brake parts...front rotors, pads, dist cap, and rotor. All in all about $400US. Good price but transportation, $30US and then the killer, boarder broker fee of $50CAN makes the whole process less than satisfactory (economically speaking). Just hoping for a break thats all.

Oh Canada !!!

There in lies an ongoing problem for anybody north of the boarder. Pooooooor dealer network, not that you would use them if there was a alternative, and no Fast lane/Parts Shop. Ive done enough *****ing about this maybe I should sell MB parts to "my fellow canadians".
If only I had the money and knowhow and expertise and connections and and and and.....
