ashtray removal

The ashtray door on my 92' 300D 2.5 Turbo won't open. How can I remove to access Becker radio.

I have not seen one lock up before, You must get the door open to take out the two hidden screws and then remove the radio.

if your saying it didnt lock up but wont come all the way out my 500 is the same way you may have a din removal if you see a hole towards the corner of the radio tehy will try to sell you a removel tool i got mine out with a cloes hanger.
