190 2.3-16 exhaust

I am about to build a new exhaust for my 1998 190E 2.3-16. I am curious if anyone had any specific sizing recommendations and system designs.

I am specifically interested to hear if anyone has experimented with different length/diameter secondaries on the headers.

Cheers

Check out www.190revolution.net There are many 16v owners on that board who can help you out. I personally have the stock exhaust, but many people remove the resonator and go with 2.25 (or 2.5, can't remember which) tubing. Scavenging is an issue on these cars due to the low amount of torque produced, so larger diameter tubing may not be a good idea.

No, havent had a chance yet to check it out any further than a basic search, which net very little information specific to the application. Hopefully have a chance to look further tonight. Most people with who fit systems seem to rely on the existing aftermarket products which arent necessarily the best solution.

At the end of the day if I cant find anything I'll take a best guess and make a system up and just test it. I have a chassis dyno here so I may as well use it!
