Lash Pads

Which mercedes came with lash pads? Anyone have dimensions on them.

The 190E 2.3 16V is the only MB engine in the USA that had valve adjustment shims.

They range in thickness from 2.5-3.4MM

What intervals are the lash pads? What is the diameter of the lash pads? Maybe some part numbers?

Pads are every 0.1mm ie; 2.5/2.6/2.7........3.4


102-054-01-39 is 2.5mm


102-054-15-39 is 3.2mm

102-054-27-39 is 3.4mm

They are small maybe 10-12MM dia

Is there a pattern with the part number?

Im looking for lash pads that are about 25mm in diameter. Any ideas, I can measure them exactly, but it will take me a week or so to get to it.

Volvo, VW, Fiat, & Saab all used valve shims approx 25MM dia.

Actually I measured them as best as I could it looks like 33mm diameter and 2.6mm thick or so.

Maybe a 928 Porsche?

I have limited it down to BMW E30 M3 lash pads or 240 Volvo lash pads (valve shims).

BMWs have a slightly convex top on the shim, to aid in spinning, but the camshaft is slightly concave so I hear on

My brother got a digital camera for christmas so I am going to take a picture of my heads so you can see what I am talking about.
