Need page 40-310 from MB Shop Manual for 126
Hi,
My factory MB shop manual repeatedly tells me to go to 40-310 for information on adjusting the vehicle height and adjusting the hydraulic actuator arm on the rear leveler. In my manual group 40 is wheels and tires and there is no page in the 300 range. Thanks for any help. JG |

It is not a page number. Just look for article 40-310 in group 40.

John,
40-310 is checking the adjustment of the rear level control valve. This is system is on a few specific models such as the 560SEL . Some info on your car would be helpful for you may not have this system. In a nut shell the base weight of the vehicle is carried by the springs and then the hydraulics assist when weight is add to the vehicle. Unladen a 4 mm rod should slide through the level control valve arm and into a 4mm recess in the valve housing.

I found it on my disc just fine (assuming you have the 126 chassis repair discs MB sells).
Just go into the chassis and body manual and click on group 40, then hit the "more" arrow (on the lower right corner) about 3 or 4 times until you get up into the 40-300's. Gilly

Group 40 is wheels and that includes alignment and that includes ride height.
