Manual for 1984 500SL

I have just purchased a 1984 500SL. Being a do-it-yourselfer, I would like to get a manual or CD for this model. It doen't look like anything is readily available. Were these cars sold in England with manuals in English produced there. Any hints for tracking down a manual would be appreciated.
