I recently changed the brakes on my 1986 300E. I have 4wheel disc. The brakes are made by mintex, but not the racing kind, so they shouldn't squeak. Not only do they squeak when I'm coming to a stop! Now, they are squeaking when I take-off, until I pick up speed then the squeaking goes away. Could this be that the rotors need to be cut? Keep in mind when I first changed the pads there was no problems at all!!

Did you remember to replace the anti-squeal shims when you replaced the pads? Or maybe the shop left them off?

I also agree, OE pads are best. I have tried others, some are good, but OE are best.

just my $0.02
