W126 300SE Tensioner Question (fan/ps)
I'm in the process of puting the car back together. The weather is nice so I decided to have a go at it. I've got the water pump in and the tensioner is.
Does the screw adjuster with the bevel go underneath the plate or on top. I've got the CD and printed the pages out but I'm unsure of the adjustment part. A pic would be helpful. BTW, now I see I need a new distributor, rotor and wires. Fun!

If we're talking about the same part, the adjuster screw starts off going through the plate. As you tighten the screw (long nut, actually), it rises through the hole and starts pushing against the plate. That's not an adequate description but I don't have any pictures to describe it better.
