After reading the post on here concerning the water wetter product I got to looking into my cooling system. The temperature would be in the mid-80's on the road and would rise to 110+ around town. Being a new owner I just assumed this was the way it ran. In addition, I assumed that the a/c was a POS because I had to shut it off in town to keep the engine coolant temperature down. So then I went out and ran the car in the parking lot with the a/c on and the fans never did come on.
Anyways I followed a couple of threads on here and found the location of the fuse that was blown. Just cost price of a of fuse. The fans work properly now and it looks like the temp is going to be around 90 around town. I figure I was pretty lucky to keep from losing the head gasket.
Thanks Mercedesshop.
