AutoZone is fairly good. Get the brand name of the component they offer. They got me a set of Bosch plug wires with shields for $89.00 so I got no gripes.

A 380SE would use a Delphi (formerly Delco Harrison - GM) A6 compressor with metric fasteners. You should be able to buy one NEW (why screw with rebuilt) for $2-300. It is one of the most popular compressors of all time and is one of the price leader rebuilts that they advertise for $69.95.
When I went to GM training school in 1971 they taught use how to rebuild them, today they aren't worth the risk. This advise is free so it must be worthless as only experience conveys this lesson. ------------------ Steve Brotherton Owner 24 bay BSC Bosch Master, ASE master L1 26 years MB technician |
