94' European E420 differential?
 
I recently drove a European version of the W124 E420.
When driving at 100 km/h (60mph) the engine was running at around 2400 rpm. So I guess it does not have the 2.24 rear differential. Does anybody know what differential they had from stock?

From everything I've read here in past posts - the E420 (in W124 form) was never offered in Europe.

Could it have been a grey market import from the States to Europe?

go to www.mobile.de and search for 400E.

Notice the european engines are rated at 279hp. The car was never offered in RHD, so maybe that is where the confusion comes in.
