smoking 280

i have a 1980 280se i brought off e-bay the seller said that the car smokes a little and at this time it was a little i changed the spark plugs in the car and wow this car smoked like it was on fire.so i change the oil with syntec 1030 the car is in kilo so i figure around 130000 mile on it but this car still smokes like mad any suggestion ????????
