Lambda Meter

Hello again, Well after replacing my Fuel distributor on my 1986 560SL with one from a 420, and having the idle set with a Lambda meter to the 45-55% range, this baby purrs and flys. The only thing wrong with having a fast car, is all the slow drivers in the way.

Question? Is there a schematic for building your own Lambda Meter? I did read about how to use various multimeters but having the box itself would be a great asset to everyone.

Since you can buy a DMM at Sears with a Duty Cycle function for $30, there's not much reason to build one.

I bought the meter that Larry Bible recommends - found it at Sears awhile back on sale for $19.95.

This is an amazing meter for the $$$

Wal-mart sells one for about $15 and it's a pile of $&%$.

I forgot. You also can use a dwell meter if you happen to have one laying around left over from the days of contact points. With a dwell meter, you are simply looking for center scale as 50% duty cycle.
