Anyone out there familiar with these two sources of tech info to do a pro/con comparison. I have both of them, but I have not used the fiche as of yet. Also, does the fiche have more useful info even though it is less user friendly?

Both are ok, but the manuals on paper are the best. You'll need to have the correct size reader for the fiche and it'll take a little getting used to the indexing system. When you slide the fiche in the machine, move the slide all the way to the upper left corner and you'll find the index for the service procedures. Once you figure it out, it's pretty nice.

There is more info on the microfilm than the CD. Everything except the Diagnostic Manuals are available on micro film. The diagnostic directory is only available on film (that I know of; it may be part of the diagnostic section of the WIS that isn't available unless you are a MB dealer). The microfilm are terrible for reading and impossible to work with electrical diagrams. We have virtually every form of info MB makes available (and much that they don't) and we use the microfilm as a last resort. Even more so as my eyes get older.

Sounds like I need to keep using the CD. Thanks for the input.
