Question 300 E 1986 Question

New 1986 300 E Purchase
My best friend bought an 1986 MB 300 E with 116,000 miles on it. It seems to run well, the only problems he is having that it seem to stall occasionally. what could be causing this problem? Is there anything we should look for in this car to help prevent future problems. I'd appreciate any advice we can get thanks!

When the engine stalls, does it re-start or must you wait for a few minutes?

You should do a search on fuel pump relay. I have heard it to be a very common cause for it to stall. I think when it happens, all you have to do is restart it and it runs as if nothing happened, right? Anyways, do a search of "fuel pump relay" and you'll be busy for hours.
Good Luck

300 E

Yeah, when you restart it it seems as if nothing happened. I have been told it may also be the spark plug wires. So I bought new plugs and wires... Do you think that may be the cause?
