Replaced Windshield

I called my insurance company to repair pits in my windshield (original windshield) which had about 10 small pits all over. The repair guy shows up at work I point him to the car. He says come back in 45 minutes. I figure he will fill and smooth out the pits - but he actually changed out the whole windshield. Now I have lost the sticker in the lower right part of the windshield, and I have no idea how good the windshield, or the installation is.

I probably shouldn't complain about getting a new windshield, and I am concerned about the quality of the install, not an MD qualified installer. Any suggetions as to testing the quality of the install?

Take it to the car wash and run a buck or two across the windshield.... check for ANY leaks or moisture.

Other than leaks, the new windshield shoud be stronger than the original or at least as good.

You can find the white sticker at the dealer, it's a couple of cents. Hosing the car with a pressure washer will defenetly tell you if you have leaks. The windshield that was installed may be stronger than original is it's made in the US, german ones are nown to be soft thus chipping more easely.
