107 sway bar fix?

While making a right turn, noticed a hair raising screech. Inside of right rear rim is scratched - top of sway bar link has detatched itself (bottom part still attached to hub).

Any tricks to replace? If tricky, is it ok to drive 5 miles to my mechanic? (W107)
Thanks.

Simple repair. It won't hurt to drive it even though they can be noisy.

107 sway bar fix?

I had been complaining about a clacking noise from the rear of my 1973/450sl.I put the car on jackstands to inspect the axles and found the left rear sway bar link missing. I suspect the link detached from the bar and was banging/clacking against the drum etc. Also when I made a turn the sway arm would contact the frame/etc and sound like an exhaust that was loose. Any ideas about this?

Replace the sway bar link and hopefully the noise will go away.

Replace the one on the other end, too.
