dashboard message

Hey all!! I had the oil changed in my car a couple of days ago. But, since that wasn't at the dealership, I still have the message "Service due now" flashing everytime I start the car. How to fix this minor annoyance? Thanks in advance.
Here's a pic of my baby, it's a 1999 E320 with the most beautiful green color in my opinion

best way

One of the best ways to get rid of that problem is to let me have the car! and you won't even have to worry bout the light!!!

sorry a little nice car humour!!! someone should have a solution to your problem, if not look for a good independent merc techie to do your oil changes.

The reset prcedure is spelled out in your owner's manual.

Is that color turquoise? That's what mine is.

To reset:
Get in car and close the door (this is important, it won't work otherwise)
Turn key to ON (just before START position)
Push button that resets the trip meter twice rather quickly, the remaining miles to FSS service will be displayed.
PUSH this button down and hold it down
while still holding the reset button down, turn the key to off, then back to ON again, all the while holding down the reset button.
You will continue holding the button down for about 10 seconds longer, keep holding it down until the cluster beeps and you will see the odometer now displays 10,000.
