Hard Shifts from too much tran fluid: W124

Hello All,

Just reporting that I recently found my tran fluid was too high, over an inch above the top mark on the stick when fully warmed up. I checked it because very soon after a tran fluid service, I had begun getting very hard shifts. We sucked the excess out and tran is much much smoother, I would not say perfect, but darn close for a car this age. Car is my '86 300E with 174k.

Interestingly, my '92 300TE is also overfull -- both were done the same day at same shop -- but I do not notice harsh shifts on that one. I will have that one sucked soon.
