Question for Stevebfl
Steve i need your input on this. I have an 88 300E and just replaced the fuel distributor. i want to adjust the mixture screw. What is the process. I do not have duty cycle meter but I have a good Ma meter that i can hook to the eHA actuator. What are the steps to follow? Do I need to have the engine at operating temp? Do I need to disconnect the Oxygen sensor? Finally what current should I aim for at the EHA? Is this current with the O2 sensor disconnected?
Thanks in advance. PS: This is an 88 300E California car. |

To get Steve Brotherton's response without having him key in the information all over again, simply click on DIY above, then click on "Evaluating Electronic Engine Controls."
Make sure the engine is warm, leave the air cleaner in place, use a long hex key and press down once engaged to make the adjustment. Make sure the engine is warm so that it is in closed loop mode and PROCEED CAREFULLY. If you don't know what you're doing with this adjustment you can get things screwed up very quickly. Hope this helps, |

Just in case you did not see it in the DIY section on top of this page...
