E320 Heat Problem
Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a 94' E320, and while i'm in awe of how smooth it handles and how powerful it is, there is one little thing that has been detracting from the overall feel....no heat The blower motor seems to work very well as it blows cold air no problem, however even with the dial turned all the way towards hot, it will only blow cold air. The air does not come out when traveling slow or fast for that matter, basically no warm air. The climate control unit buttons seem to function fine as far as switching between settings (though it only produces cold air) I was wondering where I should start looking in order to find the problem? Monovalve? Aux. water pump (though I thought I would still get a little heat if it was the aux water pump)? Blower regulator? Heater core?? I usually don't post much, though I am on the board everyday, and I searched through previous posts but didn't find anything that was quite relative. So I was hoping everyone could help shine some light on the situation. Thanks! |

It appears that for some reason there is not hot coolant going through the heater core. I would start by making sure the monovalve is functioning properly and the aux pump is working properly. If not, then there is always a possibility that the heater core is blocked, but this usually will only happen from neglected coolant changes.
