TPS adjustment on M116

It is a switch or sensor attached to the shaft of the throttle plate on my 89 420 SEL. I am replacing it while I have the engine tore down for new head gaskets. It appears to be designed for adjustment upon assembly and I need some help on how to achieve this. I see no way to adjust it after the engine is reassembled, it is deep down within the bowels of the engine valley, the valley of no return if you will. I did perform a search and found that it senses idle and throttle conditions, am I correct?

Meanwhile, I will return to my endless task of cleaning up my carboned heads & EGR tube, what a mess!!
