I am so busy that I never find the time to purchase a car if I have a running one. But I think it is finally time to get one.

I like both the new 320 convertible, and the E class models, especially the E420's. I think there is nothing more classy than the E style round lights. Well the 320 is just too impractical for my use. Too small, 2 seater, I live in New England winters, etc. So it looks like the E420 for me.

My question is, is there such a thing as an E convertible? I would love to get a E420, with its round lights, dependability, size, etc, with a convertible top. Or does anyone else have a suggestion for a convertible in the same price range?

Thanx

Isn't the CLK cabriolet available stateside? It has the round headlights like the E class, and a back seat. Maybe this is what you should consider.

Also you might be able to find a W124 convertible, but they won't have the round headlights.

Best Regards

Russ

The E Class have 4 doors, right? The only 4 door converible I remember was the early 60s Lincoln continental, aka, Suicide Doors.

The E-class is traditionally a 4-door, but don't forget, 2-door coupés were also made (300CE). It was this body style (W124) that MB chopped the top off of to make the 300CE Cabriolet.

Currently MB offers the usual SL and SLK convertibles but also a CLK Cabrio. There are no E-Class convertibles currently being produced.
