Hello all,
I had new Bilsteins installed about 1 year ago. The are "comfort" not HD, and the ride seems to be harsher than on my 79 300SD with the same shocks.

I have had the suspension checked by my local MB dealer and they say all is well.

Could the tires be the problem. The 300SD had 205/65/15 on 15 hole 15x7 replicas. The 450Sel still rides on 14X6.5 bundt cakes and 205/70/14 MXV4's. How about alignment? Any help appreciated.

Thank you and regards,

I think the 450SEL is supposed to have its suspension tuned harder than the 300SD. Primarily because the 450SEL is a much faster car, the harder suspension allows it to handle so suberbly at high speed.
