Thanks to G-Benz for his description, which I nicked from a post (from 2003). I simply inserted his text with my pics (from yesterday)

It's an easy fix - anyone can do it. All you need is a philips head / flat head screwdriver - that's it. Good luck! 71Rcode

If you are going cheap, I sucessfully fixed mine (which had that same plastic part broken) with a small hose clamp, and so far it has held on for six months with no further problems. Good writeup, though.
