Hi, I've noticed that the door trim at the top of the door (where it meets the window) is not attached fully. It looks like a couple clips are not attached to the door.

How easy is it for the dealer to reattach this trim? Do they have to remove the interior of the door?

I don't want to be a guinea pig and since it is hard to notice, I would rather wait until others might experience the problem and it is fixed. :-)

Be extremely careful! The door trim on the CL500 is difficult and sensitive. My best friend has 1998 CL500 which I took for her to the dealer to have the lightbulb for the electric seat switch change. In the process of reassembling the door, the dealer broke the window (double-pane) and the whole deal became a very expensive mistake (for them!).
My best advice: take to it to an authorized M.B. dealer and have them fix it.

Take it to your dealer. Under full warranty they should fix anything you do not think is right, and if they mess up anything in the process they are required to make it new again.
