E320 Cabriolet roll-over bar

Looking for suggestions, I have a 95 E320 Cabriolet that is a gray market. It is an AMG which is somewhat unusual and has made getting certain parts interesting. I think my top / roll-over mechanism is out of synch. The Roll-over bar (headrest) are all the way up and won't come down. I have checked the travel switches located on the passenger side of the roll-over bar system and they are not the problem. The valve manifold is getting voltage, but I believe a switch, S 83 or S86 is tripped or causing problems. At any rate, the headrest are all the way up and stuck that way and I can't see squat out the back window. I can't lower the top because it just stops after all the windows go down. My questions are: 1) is there anyway to override or manually get these things down so the top will start working, 2) what is the sequence of trouble shooting this system 3) Can the top lowering get out of sequence and cause this and if so, how do I straighten it out. Thanks for any replies
