With all the talk about sparkplug wire sets, I was wondering if anyone knows anything about "Bremi" wires? They have a solid copper core, and the ends look exactly like the OEM ones. Does anyone have any experience or feedback on these?

I know from experience to stay away from Bosch aftermarket sets, they are JUNK. I can't seem to find any Beru sets locally, only these Bremi ones.

And, yes, I know that the original ones are absolutely the best, but they are *expensive* at the dealer. The wires themselves do last a long, long time, as oppsosed to the resistor ends. But after 20+ years, mine have developed some cracking of the insulation and allow some arcing to take place.

Bremi is "OE" on BMW's. Much better than aftermarket bosch, but not up to Beru quality.

Thanks MB Doc - I will try to locate some Beru wires.

One other question, why do some of the resistor ends have a 5K resistance, and others have a 1K resistance? Just a theoretical question.

Radio interference & related static due to HIGH voltage signals going un-suppressed. Most cars with 1K ends have a larger air gap between rotor & dist cap.
