Ever try to find a replacement leather key holder that came with your car when new? I have an 81 240D and an 88 300 SEL and both came with leather key holders that are now worn out. I have been to my local dealer on a couple of ocassions and have inquired about purchasing a couple, and they have told me that the holder is not available. However, I persisted and inquired again and this time struck gold!! If you want a replacement for your car the p/n is 108 890 06 61, cost was about $ 9.50 ea.

Nice find. I still have my original ones, in the plastic bag, from the dealer. Never got around to using it.

I even found burgundy ones on eBay to match the interior of one of my cars (also wanted 2 different colors to keep the keys separated!) My dealer, when they had them about 2 years ago, were only about $2.87 each for black.
