450 SLC 5.0
Ok, that must be the neatest SLC I have ever seen. What do you think it will fetch? (Probably more than my 84 380Sl and my 85 380 se combined.

IMHO, $8 - 10K is all the money for that car and that may be a generous estimate.
It is a neat car, but would a serious collector want it? It is not original, and does not have the history that buyers of rally cars want. It is also a not-very-popular model (SLC). Would the average 107 buyer want it? For the same money, a 107 buyer could get a very nice 380SL to drive to the club event, with the top down. It will be interesting to watch the bidding.

Interesting classic rally car
It would still be a nice club car for classic rallies. I'm keeping my less than perfect looking but mechanically bullet-proof and superb handling 350SLC for club motorsport and classic rallying

It would still be a nice club car for classic rallies. I'm keeping my less than perfect looking but mechanically bullet-proof and superb handling 350SLC for club motorsport and classic rallying here in Australia.

That's a tough call.
I mean, SLC 5.0s are really rare and all that.. but it's still an SLC. I've had two gorgeous SLCs in stock before and I couldnt give them away. |
