Help on a 88 560sl r107. Dash removal,

Hi,

new to the board and working on mercedes. Need to do the following to a 88 560SL. Actuators AC in the dash, which will require the dash to be removed. Power steering pump rebuild or sealing so to speak. Steering coupler replacement.

I have many years of experience working on 79 thru 99 BMWs of my own, a few Citroens, Audi's and Merkurs in the mix. Can handle 99% of all problems as long as I have access to information.

Something I have noticed with the Mercedes, not that much info on the net relative to BMW info. I would like to find some shop manuals and any write up's people have done on the 560SL.

I have done several searchs and read most of the posts here about 560's repairs.

Any help or leads would be very nice

thanks

Mike

Mike,
The best thing you can do is get the MBUSA repair CD for the R 107 chassis. Should have most of that type of info.

Thanks for the reply, how long have

you been racing the 190 in ITS? I have two friends who have won the ARRC and most other ITS races here in the southeast. Seth Thomas and Robbie Kollar, both were driving E36 325is.

Plan on building a car in the next few years myself

Mike
