1993 190E Instrument Cluster

I have a 1993 190E, recently part of my instrument cluster has stopped working. The instrument cluster on the far right with the gas gauge, temperature gauge, and oil pressure gauge has stopped working. All other gauges work, and the fuse is not blown. Would this be a simple connection come a loose or is it more complicated.

The 190e just did the same thing. I checked the fuse and it was good. Any suggestions?

have you taken out the fuse or just visually inspected it in place?

sometimes, some oxidation forms on the contact points of the fuse and although still good, may just need to be cleaned (but since they are so cheap, replace them with new ones).

because the 201 fusebox is so difficult to access, I just press the fuse against the connector, forcing it to slide, clean the contact area and reseat itself.

hope this helps ...

This happened twice to my 300E. It was the fuse both times, even though the fuse LOOKED ok.

. . . aren't those instruments on the "far left"?

If the fuses are indeed fine, then the problem could be with the mechanical joint that holds the left side of the cluster with the middle (speedo and odometer). The right side (tach and clock) is a separate unit. If the joint comes loose, you might be losing the ground circuit.
