Confusion about light switch (Help!!)
I have an 1989 190 2.6.
I'm trying to change all of the bulbs that are located in the center console. I have read other postings and here is what I'm able to gather from the postings. 1. To change the the bulbs that light up the Climate Control Box, you must remove the Climate Control Box and open the back panel where there are two bulbs attached to a circuit board. 2. To replace the bulbs for the fan speed control, simply unscrew the housing and it should drop down to the cavity where the climate control box was and the bulb is on the left side. Here is were I get confused!! 3. To replace the bulbs for the top switch buttons (Defrost, Antenna, Sun Roof) The postings say that these are connected to a fiber wire that looks like a small octopus behind the Climate Control Unit. (I can't find the it. What does it look like? Does this bulb also light up the windows switches?) Questions: Where is the (Fiber) bulb that feeds into the switches (Antenna/Defrost) located and how do I get to it? Where is the (Fiber) bulb that feeds into the Window Switched located and how do I get to it? Are the bulbs for the Climated Control Unit and Fan Speed Control located where I stated above? Are there any other bulb that I need to replace while I have the unit out. |
