We do not have A - class vehicles in North America.

Many MB models have problems with sending units, most common in the ML.
Perhaps the A-Class suffers the same?

The W202 definitely suffers from sending unit problems. Solution is to either try cleaning them or replacing them. Last I checked, they were a dealer only item in the US.

Just had both of mine replaced ( covered under warranty, thank goodness ). Dealer told me it is largely caused by our north american fuel composition. I can agree with that. ![]() General Motors has had a ton of problems with theirs as well. My understanding is, the replacement units are supposed to have gold contacts, to eliminate future problems.
