rubber behind filler panels under headlights? '87 W124

I switched to (wiperless) Euro lights a little while back and it seems like under the headlights there is a big gap between the headlight bottom and the filler panel I put there. It seems like there should be some sort of rubber in between there, like the rubber around door sills. there is nothing there now, just a blank space that you can see through. The car was in a front end accident before I bought it, so I thought maybe the rubber was not replaced after this. If there is indeed a piece of rubber or some other material that fills this gap, anyone know where I can get it?
