My hydraulic pump for my rear shocks is leaking fluid. The pump to replace is approx. $600.Would like to known if I can remove the hydraulic suspension including the pump and install new rear shocks. Is there a kit that has a cover plate that covers the hole were the pump presently resides.I would like contacts where I can purchase or talk about.
Thanks

My race car is a 16V & I use standard suspension. I removed the pump & installed block off cover from early 190E, some mods were necessary. The stock rear springs won't hold the car up at all. Try getting a set of springs for Sportline 190E 2.6. Not much $$$ and they will work well. Use the "sport" Bilstiens as they are shorter than std rear shocks. Of course I do have a good used pump if you are interested.

How much for the pump? I was looking at the pump and it seems that replacing it would be easy, is my assumption correct? Is there any secrets that I should known?

Eddie:

Contact Rick Ellinger at RC Imports (Rcimports@aol.com). I got a replacement pump from him for my ride. I think it cost me around $55.00 including shipping. It's working great. Also, Bekkers (www.bekkers.com) has a suspension kit which includes the pump block-off plate. I think it goes for around $800.00.
