Spark plug wire boots at distributor
does anyone have a trick to wiggling these off? I got the top two off ok, (one of them had white sooty deposits) and wanted to check & clean the others but couldn't seem to wiggle them free with the suppressor cover and fan getting in the way.
Although I could get some of the others to wiggle, I didn't want to pull too hard incase I damaged the wire/boot.

My theory is - first step is to twist them, make sure they are good and broken loose. From there about all you do is pull with plyers (slip joint) or lever with a bar of some sort - and it never hurts to keep twisting.
