Freeing a Frozen Sunroof

So, the windows in my 190 finally work, but the sunroof is still stuck closed. Any suggestion as to how to open it? When I push the button, I hear a motor moan, but no opening... Thanks guys...

Any luck with this yet? I'm having the same problem. The tilt works, but the roof will not slide back to open.

The same thing happened on my 126 SE it would tilt up but had to be cranked down and would not slide. I put itin the tilt up position and with a flashlight was able to see that one of the two screws that hold the stamped metal piece at the end of the cable had fallen out allowing the cable to crimp .I took out the other screw (self setting screws) straghtened out the cable and the metal piece greased up the cable put it back together and all functions now work fine........
