More A/C questions

Ok, now that is has gotten a little warmer here in South Carolina I have noticed that my AC will blow cool air just fine but is nowhere near cool enough to cool the car down when it is 85 degrees or higher. I have charged the AC I have checked for leaks with the dye and there are none that I can find.

BTW it has the 134 conversion done.

Here are my questions:

1. What pressure should the system be at on the high and low side?

2. If the pressure is normal, what else would cause it to cool insufficiently?

3. Why the hell do Mercedes shops want 100 bucks to hook up a pressure guage to the darn thing?

I did check the FAQ first and found nothing that addressed this issue.
