Hi All,
After driving on the freeway for about an hour with just a little over 80degC on the temp gauge, the resistance between the two pins on the CTS is reading 'bout 600 ohms. According to the manual, 80degC should be 'bout (293-370 ohms) and should be a little lower if over 80degC. Is this be a bad sensor and should be replaced? How does this effect the KE systems when a false (lower) temp is read by the system via bad sensor? Do sensor like these deteriorate slowly or abruptly? How dependable is the temp gause in the instrument cluster and where does it get its info? I need a baseline for coolant temp. thanks...
