wind deflector stays up, sunroof unable to close completely.
Hi, the wind deflector on my sunroof only comes down about half way resulting the sunroof unable to close completely. I tried to adjust both tiny screws on each side of the holders. But the deflector still doesn't come down low enough. Do I need to change the two springs? I thought those springs are for getting the deflector up not down. My sunroof stays close most of the time, I wonder that has something to do with the problem. Your expertise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

In the sunroofs I've seen, there are two little arms on either side of the sunroof that lower the wind deflector, such that the wind deflector MUST move down when the sunroof approaches the closed position. Needless to say, if those two little arms are missing the wind deflector won't lower itself.

those two arms are there. I tried to adjust the little screws at the front of the arms to raise them higher. So when the sunroof goes over the top of them it would press the arms down further hence the deflector down further but still not enough. I have raised the arm to the max already. Rick |
