What are your thoughts about this engine in a 124 chassis? Any pros or cons?

This engine was only on the rather rare 1993 300E 2.8. Became standard on the C280 in 1994-1997.

Actually, the M104 was used much more extensively than just the 1993 300 2.8.

In the W124, the M104 saw duty in the

* 300 E 2.8 (model 124.028, eng. 104.942)

* 300 E/E 320 (model 124.032, eng. 104.992)

* 300 CE (model 124.051; eng. 104.980)

* 300 CE/E 320 (model 124.052; eng. 104.992)

* 300 CE/E 320 (model 124.066; eng. 104.992)

* 300 TE/E 320 (model 124.092; eng. 104.992)


In the W140:

* 300 SE (model 140.032; eng. 104.990)

* S 320 (model 140.032; eng. 104.994)

* S 320 (model 140.033; eng. 104.994)


In the W210:

* E 320 (model 210.055; eng. 104.995)


Finally, in the W202:

* C 280 (model 202.028; eng. 104.941)

* C 36 AMG (model 202.028; eng. 104.941)
